Looking for Silvio Carriero
Here's a message from one of our readers, Heather Mohay:In the summer of 1965 a group of 21 students from around the world gathered in Linz, Austria to work on an International Voluntary Service project. We have wonderful memories of that time and many friendships were forged. Unfortunately over the years most of us have lost contact with one another. This year a few of us decide to try and find everyone else and organize a reunion as in 2009 when Linz will be the European City of Culture. So far we have found 19 of the original 21 participants which is quite amazing after 43 years. Just two people still to find - one from Hong Kong and one from Italy. The Italian was called Silvio Carriero. He was the lively, funny, comedian of the group. He would now be about 64 years old so he may have changed a bit! Silvio came from Serracapriola. His family's address in 1965 was Via Manzoni 32, Serracapriola, Foggia. He had a sister who married in 1968 or 1969 and moved to Milan and his parents moved to Milan a little later. Silvio was in Military service in Venice in 1968 and studied economics at the University in Venice. This is where our trail stops. We are really keen to find him as he was an important member of our group in 1965 and we were all very fond of him. We would be grateful for any information which might help us to contact him, e.g., names of family members, where he is living, his occupation or especially a direct contact such as an address, phone number or email address.
Thank you for your help.
